Private camera and document scanner
The safest private photo is one that never lands in your gallery in the first place.
From the add menu, choose Take a photo, Record a video or Scan a document. The capture is saved straight into your encrypted vault, not your gallery. Sealcloak uses your phone's camera app to capture, and some camera apps keep a copy of their own, so check yours the first time.
Photos and videos
- Tap + in the vault.
- Choose Take a photo or Record a video.
- Take the shot in your camera app and confirm.
- It appears in the vault, encrypted.
Scanning documents
- Tap + and choose Scan a document.
- Take a picture of the page.
- Drag the four dots onto the corners of the paper.
- Choose black and white or colour, then add more pages if you need to.
- Tap Save as PDF.
Good for IDs, bank papers, medical letters and anything you'd rather not leave as loose photos.
Keep them locked, offline
Sealcloak encrypts your photos, videos and files on your phone. No account, no cloud, no internet permission.
Notes too
Write a note from the same menu. It's encrypted when you save it, like everything else in the vault.
Check your camera app once
Because the capture goes through your phone's camera app, a few camera apps save their own copy as well. Take one test photo and look in your gallery. If a copy appears, delete it and consider a different camera app. Read more in how to hide photos on Android.
Frequently asked questions
